#ShareMyThesis encouraged PhD students to explain the importance of their thesis within the constraints of a 140 character tweet (including the hashtag)…
…and shortlisted tweeters were asked to expand on their ideas in a 600 word essay.

The importance of understanding number entry by Dr Sarah Wiseman
Sarah has been working at UCL’s Interaction Centre with Dr Anna cox and others on the CHI+MED project and she has been looking at the different ways in which people enter numbers into medical and other devices.
A number entry interface can determine how quickly or accurately a person can enter numbers into a particular machine and this is of interest to people working in the area of improving patient safety.
